Jeffrey P. Sutton, M.D., Ph.D., was awarded the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, the highest honor that NASA confers on a non-Government individual. The award acknowledges Dr. Sutton’s exceptional leadership of the National Space Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI) to advance biomedical science, technology and education to benefit human space exploration and life on Earth. Dr. Sutton has been President and Institute Director of NSBRI since 2001. He is also Director of the Center for Space Medicine and Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.<\/p>\n
